Instructions for use: PM-35 breathable steel is a high-quality breathable steel, the internal connected by the tiny holes, so that air or any gas can penetrate and penetrate. Therefore, injecting PM-35 breathable steel into the appropriate position of the injection mold, the injection molding problem caused by the gas can be completely removed, and the molding process can be more perfect. In addition, PM-35 breathable steel has good mechanical properties, in the use and production of injection molds, can use the same general method of mold steel processing, such as cutting, grinding, electrical discharge machining. To enable users to fully utilize the benefits of breathable steel, please refer to the following usage rules:
1. After grinding or any heavy cutting, micropores may be blocked. Soft cutting such as wire cutting, electrical pulses, and lasers should be used (soft cutting refers to a cutting mode that has a slight force on the workpiece, but does not change the surface texture). The on-line cutting process should slightly increase the processing speed. Slowly arcing may occur in the micro-holes, which is detrimental to the molybdenum wire. Hard cutting may be used when the machining allowance is large, but a 0.1-0.2mm allowance must be left for soft machining. In the recovery of air permeability recovery on the surface of ventilated steel, there are many ways to deal with: 1. The best treatment method is to use the electric discharge machining method to make mirror surface processing to clean the iron filings that block the vent holes. 2. Using a hand-grinding method, polish with No. 420 grinding sandpaper and finish with a 1200-grit abrasive paper. 3. The process is not only performed on the front side of the breathable steel inner module, but also the inner surface of the insert must be treated in the same way to restore the air permeability of the insert. 4. Vent holes are provided in the moulds of the gas-permeable steel inserts. Example: Approximately 10mm ventilation holes and maintenance inlet fittings are installed behind the 30*30mm2 PM-35 air-permeable steel insert. Its role is: 1. The gas out of the mold. 2. 2. When PM-35 breathable steel is used as an insert, keep as much as 1/10 of the size of the mold base. That is, the volume of PM-35 breathable steel is 1 or more, and the volume of mold base is 10%. The thickness of PM-35 breathable steel inserts should be maintained between 30mm-50mm. The permeability of PM-35 breathable steel inserts is affected by their thickness. The thicker the material, the lower the breathability. However, care must be taken that if the insert is too thin, it may not withstand the larger injection pressure. The position, size, and quantity should be reasonably arranged on the mold. It is recommended to use it on a moving mold. Breathable steel ventilation is proportional to the size and surface area, the greater the surface area, the greater the amount of ventilation. The higher the height, the weaker the air permeability, the diameter and thickness should be chosen reasonably.



3. After the breathability treatment process is resumed, the oil on the surface must be removed and the interior of the material must be kept clean. To thoroughly clean the oil, the following must be followed: (1 Drying, 2 ultrasonic cleaning, 3 Drying) The process proceeds. Pay attention to the coolant flowing into the material during processing. The pores will be blocked for a long time and should be quickly cleaned after processing.



IV. Other ways to remove oil pollution 1. Remove the PM-35 air-permeable steel insert from the mold and heat it to 100°C-150°C to let the oil and gas be lost. Then flush the surface with compressed air. 2. If the insert is connected to the mold base, it can be flushed with compressed air through the exhaust port of the mold blank to remove the oil on the surface.
5. When cutting, grinding, cutting oil used in WIRE CUT, try to use oily one. If it is necessary to use water-soluble cutting oil, remove the water in the steel as soon as possible by using the above method to remove the oil.



6. When performing EDM wire cutting, it is best to use a copper wire with a diameter of 0.25mm or more. However, if it is necessary to use an EDM copper wire with a diameter of 0.2mm or less, the cutting speed must be increased by 1.5 times than usual.
Seven. PM-35 breathable steel can not be welded (welded) processing. Etching must be done before and after cleaning. When the air permeability of a mold in which a PM-35 air-permeable steel inner mold is attached is found to be poor, an oil-tank treatment may be attempted to restore the air permeability.
8. Vacuum heat treatment will shrink the size or a little deformation, please note the reserved processing volume.
9. Use M-type super hard alloy cutting tools when cutting. Not suitable for thermosetting plastic/rubber injection molds. Does not apply to molds that require mirror polishing. SILICONE-based mold release agents should not be used. Ventilated steel protected by rust inhibitors must be cleaned of the rust formed by the rust inhibitor before use.
X. Reasonable use of polishing, the most ideal is to use ultrasonic processing. 800-1000# sandpaper or oilstone can solve the problem of slight clogging of micro-holes, but also pay attention to the cleaning of grinding materials. Always check the air permeability performance. It is best to polish the air intake side after the assembly is completed. After processing, it is washed with acetone, and if it is cleaned with ultrasonic and acetone, the effect is better. Do not use hard objects to directly hit the assembly. This will block the micro-holes and use a hardwood or copper pad to knock in. After assembly, coat with acetone or kerosene on the surface as a medium, use the air vent to enter the high-pressure air, check the air permeability. The entire surface should be bubbled evenly and forcefully. If it is found that the air permeability is degraded, it can be compensated by soft processing such as fortifying machine, electric pulse, and laser, and cleaned with acetone, and it can be restored after it is completely dried. Since the material is a mesh-like microporous structure, it cannot be used as a large-area or integral-mold mold structure. Otherwise, the accuracy of plastic products may decrease and the life of the mold may decrease.
Ventilation performance failure solution:
After PM-35 breathable steel is used for a period of time, the air quality is reduced: 1. There are plastic chips or tars that block the pores. Use a suitable plastic diluent solvent. After one hour, check the breathability with high-pressure air. 2. Due to the plugging of oil, plugs, plastic additives, mold release agents, etc., the surface can be cleaned with acetone, etc., and then check the effect of high-pressure air. 3. The above still does not solve the problem. It must be repaired with a soft process and cleaned with acetone. After it is completely dry, it can be restored. Can not solve the flow marks, pie spots, etc.: Caused by the flow marks and other reasons are more complex, bad exhaust, cold material hole size, shape and location of the mouth, mold temperature, plastic properties. So we must first determine what caused the cause. Ventilated steel only solves poor exhaust.
